Fall Wrestling Advanced Wrestler Registration is Open Now!

Want to get started wrestling this year? 

This is what you're looking for. We are open to boys and girls from grades 2-6 (we do not accept kids that are in kindergarten or 1st grade). There will be a parents meeting on Tuesday November 10, 2026 at Southern Regional High School 11/12 Library 6:30pm. The meeting is optional but strongly encouraged for all new parents and wrestlers. It will be a meet and greet event where you can ask any questions you might have and introduce your wrestler(s) to the coaching staff. Practices will be held at Southern Regional High School in the 11/12 varsity wrestling room from 6:30-7:45 starting Wednesday November 11. On the registration page you can find the schedule for practices. 

As a beginner wrestler at Stafford Wrestling, we encourage you to compete in 3 wrestling tournaments. The Southern "Ram Tough" Tournament in January, The Lacey "Scott Stevens" Tournament and the Central Regional "Berkeley Bash".  As the season progresses more information regarding these events will be made available. 

What do you need to get started?

1. USA Wrestling Card - What is this? It is an insurance card that costs approximately $60 for the season. It is mandatory. No One is permitted to participate without this. You can purchase a USA Wrestling Card at any time for your wrestler at www.usawmembership.com

2. Wrestling Shoes - Online is best. In person locally in Manahawkin - Dick's Sporting Goods. We recommend Nike, Adidas, Asics or Rudis Wrestling Shoes. 

3. Shorts and Tee Shirt - Try not to have anything too baggy

4. Water Bottle - Any kind, Water fountains are in the school for refills
